Catch a Caffeine Buzz
Need a pick-me-up while in Lincoln City? Find out where to find that liquid gold during your next trip.
Grab a seat outside at Zest Creperie or pick up a specialty cup of local coffee from Zefir Coffee's to-go window. While you're at it, stop by Coffee & Cravings in Gleneden Beach, you'll walk out with more than just a coffee.
It's hard to ignore the charm when you walk into Zest. Sidewalk outdoor seating (pet-friendly!), physically distanced indoor tables, and two counters to order either food or drink. But once you start observing more, you realize its uniqueness. An indoor fireplace to cozy up to for those blustery coast days, an adjoining boutique to browse local gifts and art, and a private outdoor seating area, which is arguably one of the best-kept secrets in town. Out back you feel like you have walked into a different world, a “zen garden patio” enclosed with greenery, stone fountain and natural light. It is a perfect place to enjoy a cup of tea with a book or catch up with a friend. Beyond the café, Zest also has vegetarian and vegan items on their menu, such as avocado and tomato toast, a pesto and mozzarella savory crepe, and three different kinds of veggie burgers. Be sure to check their hours, because you might be lucky enough to enjoy an evening dessert crepe later in the night. One last thing that makes Zest stand out is their commitment to sustainability, by sourcing locally and having as close to zero-waste as possible. Owner Marci Baker says, “We want to see a world that is cared for and habitable for generations to come and are ready to do our part to bring in positive change.”
From the owners who brought you Tah·Lume, Lincoln City welcomes a new coffee shop, Zefir Coffee. Located in the Nelscott District, you can walk up and order at their window for the perfect grab-and-go pick-me-up. Serving up delicious Left Coast Coffee, their own custom tea blends, and even a simple ice cream cone!
Zefir will be serving up specials as the seasons change or as their creative juices flow. This August, try the local lavender and honey latte. Zefir plans to open up the interior of their coffee shop later this year, and if it is anything like Tah·Lume, it will be one cozy coffee shop. Zefir is committed to sourcing locally and supporting local businesses as they grow. While they specialize in drinks right now, they encourage people to walk a few shops down to Nelscott Breakfast House, where you are welcome to bring your coffee inside and grab a snack or breakfast.
Coffee & Cravings
If you head just south of Lincoln City, you will find the Salishan Marketplace in Gleneden Beach. One stop you won’t want to miss on your journey is Coffee & Cravings. With their small café and market feel, you're transported to a different country as you walk in. While awaiting your coffee, tea, or even smoothie, browse through high-quality artisan cheeses, meats, imported Italian pasta, infused olive oils, balsamic, and plenty more. They offer local goods like pepper jelly, honey, salts, and jams. Locally owned and operated for the last 27 years, they truly have thought of everything. While they have only been at this location for a year, you can’t tell. They are veterans in this business and have been serving Lincoln City coffee before there was coffee in Lincoln City. The friendly atmosphere and vast selection of high-quality goods make this a must-visit on every trip.
