Lincoln City Enters Reopening Phase 2

Lincoln City has moved into Phase 2 of Oregon's phased reopening guidelines. Although not a ton has changed, there are a few bright spots for local business owners, park go-ers, and local sports and education.

What does this mean for visitors? First, it is still a requirement to wear a mask in public indoor spaces and outdoor spaces where social distancing is not possible. Second, it is not a guarantee that your favorite business or hotel will be reopened as it was. Make sure to call ahead to check where they stand with their amenities and capacities. Keep in mind the business or attraction you want to visit might have additional guidelines they ask of their guests that you will have to comply with.

We are very excited to welcome back theaters like the historic Bijou Theatre, our beloved Lincoln City Community Center, a few playgrounds like Regatta Grounds, and more.

For those itching to explore the outdoors, plan ahead and be prepared. Trailhead restrooms may not be open, trails may still be closed due to fire and storm damage, and trash bins fill up quickly. We ask that you pack in everything you would need and pack it all the way home.

Outdoor gatherings have increased to 100 people, which could lead to a few events popping up in the future, but while out and about, respect physical distancing with others.

A few things have not changed in the transition to Phase 2. Be aware that bar and restaurant service still ends at 10pm and many have limited dine-in capacities. Establishments continue to encourage takeout, offer delivery, and require reservations. Businesses, including hotels, continue to follow strict cleaning requirements to keep everyone safe, which may delay check-in times, availability, and other services. Some lodging properties have opted to not open some of their amenities such as gyms and pools at this time.

On top of COVID-19, wildfires have also played a role in limited staffing in Lincoln City. Please be patient, flexible, kind and respectful as Lincoln City navigates back to a new normal.
