The Pines Dine

This year, Lincoln City will celebrate the opening of a highly anticipated food truck pod called The Pines Dine. Located in the historic Taft neighborhood, The Pines Dine will keep the history of its location alive from its previous host of The Pines Hotel that was a hot spot in 1927. Food truck pods have been a huge hit throughout Oregon in recent years and Lincoln City is ready to gain a spot where friends and family can gather, enjoy a variety of cuisines, local beer and wine, and hang out for hours. The Pines will eventually include 12 food trucks, outdoor eating space with games, a main covered dining hall that will include wine, beer, a private meeting space, and a gift shop. This will be a place where live entertainment can flourish, like comedy nights, music, and trivia. The private meeting space will be a great location for birthdays, events, or any other occasion like a football watch party.

Owners Ross and Rachelle have been long-time Lincoln City residents and are committed to supporting the community in every way possible. They even will have a special bottle that they will donate a portion of proceeds to a local charity or nonprofit. They are kicking off the Pines Wine shop donation with a featured wine called Borne of Fire, which will support the echo mountain fire survivors’ long-term relief group.

While their building is still under construction, you can stop by and enjoy a few of the food trucks that have already set up shop.

Kite Festivals

We are very excited to announce that our beloved Kite Festivals will return this year. When the pandemic hit we made the difficult decision to cancel both Summer and Fall festivals to prevent large gatherings. As we’ve seen the world work toward getting back to a new normal, we found that we can make these festivals happen with added safety measures once more. Come see world-famous kite-fliers perform while soaking in the hundreds of kites that line the sky. Held on the beach at the D River State Recreation Site, the annual Kite Festivals are a longstanding family vacation tradition and we missed it immensely. It's time to bring it back.

Exploriences

Another event that was canceled due to COVID-19 was our Explorience Program. This is a series of free hands-on learning sessions led by local experts. Throughout the year you can participate in beachcombing, tide pooling, crabbing, clamming, bird watching, and hiking all located within Lincoln City. The best part? If you participate in five different Exploriences you become a part of our ‘Explorers Club’ becoming eligable to earn an Exploriences Glass Token.

Finders Keepers

It's a new year for discovering random acts of find-ness! Kicking off January 4th and followed by a special drop January 8-9th you'll be able to find brand new 2022 floats on the beach in Lincoln City from Roads End to Siletz bay, and continue to find them through the end of December. Our various glass artists got very creative this year for Finders Keepers and are excited for everyone to take a piece of Lincoln City home with them. Please remember that you should only take one float per person, per year, home with you, and share the love.

Pelican Brewery on Siletz Bay

You may have seen the construction as you pass by what once was the Bay House. Don't fret, the Bay House relocated to Salishan Coastal Lodge so you can still experience their fine dining and vast wine selection. Pelican Brewery, a coastal brewery started in Pacific City, is expanding to Lincoln City, right on Siletz Bay. They will offer their award-winning craft beer and tasty pub food with a view. A very welcomed addition.
