4 Date Ideas in Lincoln City
February is the time to celebrate love. Grab your partner and make a date, there’s plenty to do.
1. Glass Blowing
While it is fun to explore the beach in hopes of finding an elusive glass float from our Finders Keepers Program…sometimes you walk away unsuccessful. Head to the Lincoln City Glass Center and together experience, hands on, how to blow your own float with personal guidance from a local artist. Begin by choosing the style, size and a few of your favorite colors. Your artisan partner will make the process as hands on as you like. They walk you through each step and explain the art of glass blowing along the way. Once finished, your float is placed in a kiln to cure overnight. When you arrive to pick up your float the next day, you will be amazed at how the colors change and proud of your very own float that you created.
2. Bijou Theatre
The Bijou Theatre has been entertaining Lincoln City through the silver screen since 1937. Once voted Small Business of the Year, the Bijou continues to reinvent itself. The theatre plays new releases as well as classic films with regular rotation. With affordable ticket prices, a quirky blast from the past vibe, local beer, wine and, of course, popcorn – it is clear this has promise to be a fun and entertaining date night.
3. Olde Line Lanes
Bowling, locally sourced comfort food, beer, wine and cocktails? We could just stop there, but what makes this space special is that it has been a community staple since the late 1930s. Its historical, vintage soul is matched with a menu to knock your socks off. Grab your date, or some friends, and reserve a lane. Olde Line Lanes also offers a “Cheap Date Night” where you receive a variety of different specials. Good food, good drinks, and classic play to keep your evening full of fun.
4. Marci's Bar and Bistro
For the night owls, Marci’s is the place. They are ready to entertain you with multiple pool tables, steel tip darts, live music, trivia nights, karaoke, drag shows and parties for every holiday in their surprisingly large space located right off Highway 101. This Valentine’s Day they are hosting a Stoplight Party with Passionate Karaoke from 8 – 11pm. But don’t worry, drinks are served well into the night, ending at 2:30am and a full menu until 3am. Serenade your loved one in a fun and exciting environment and celebrate romance all night long.
