Glass Center

Watch swirling heat and color as gorgeous glass creations like floats, paperweights and vases are crafted in this mecca for glass artists.

Centered in the Historic Taft District of Lincoln City, experience the age-old art of glassblowing firsthand. Artisans can be seen anytime the studio is open and the kilns are alight practicing their craft, creating one-of-a-kind works of art. You too can create your own unique piece of glass art—an unforgettable experience guided by one of our glass gurus.

Wander through the gallery section of the Lincoln City Glass Center, taking in the waves of colorful glass creations as they catch the sunlight from the windows. Search for sculptures, jewelry and, of course, glass floats. A menagerie of color awaits.

Feel the heat of the kiln warm your face as an instructor helps you gently rotate the long metal blowpipe as you create something magical in the molten, colored glass. This cornerstone of the Lincoln City Glass Center teaches you the ancient art of glassblowing and local artisans show you how to create a glass float, fluted bowl, votive candle holder, paperweight, or a glass heart. Glassblowing sessions are time-sensitive, and we recommend showing up at least 15 minutes prior to your session.
