We just spent one of the best two days ever in Lincoln City at the Kite Festival celebrating 17 years of marriage..... Thank you to the sponsors and producers of this fine event and the participants. We will never forget sitting on the beach on listening to 'IZ' singing "You are the Wind beneath My Wings" while the most beautiful kites danced overhead. This experience made us fall in love all over again, as we celebrate 17 years of marriage. We had two beautiful days on the coast: a walk along the beach at the Salmon River, lunch at MO's (of course, as my nickname is 'MO), discovered the Kite Festival, then a relaxing walk on the beach, overnight at the Looking Glass Inn, a romantic evening in the jaccuzzi suite, awoke to a quite Monday morning for a walk in the Taft neighborhoods, and a very filling complimentary breakfast at the Looking Glass; a wonderful sunset dinner overlooking the ocean at the Surfrider, just a short drive south of Lincoln City, not crowded and very affordable; Sunday we visited the Connie Hansen Gardens and took the short drive back to our home in Dallas. Next time we'll be sure to fit in breakfast at the Otis....this time we were still full from the complimentary breakfast at the Looking Glass...........Thank you for helping us discover Lincoln City....we've driven through many times and never knew what we were missing!
