Photo Credit: Jack Snyder Lee and Debbie Park Defying Gravity Photo Credit: Jack Snyder If there is any way to defy gravity, with a kite or their bodies, Lee and Debbie Park will accomplish the impossible. This couple from southern California, leave home often to traverse the world performing artistic and acrobatic acts using kites, dance, gymnastics, and ice skating skills. Lee and Debbie have performed at the World Figure Skating Championships, for television commercials, and in circus shows. Lee competed for 11 years, first as a collegiate gymnast for Cortland State University and then in competitive artistic gymnastics. Debbie has competed as a gymnast internationally and on an athletic scholarship to Oregon State University. Since that time she has trained extensively in figure skating, dancing, power yoga, and circus acts. Recently the Parks have added indoor kite flying to their repertoire. The Parks bring all these skills and energy to Lincoln City for the Indoor Kite Festival, March 24-26, 2006. You will be able to see them perform each day of the festival, along with many other expert indoor kite fliers from around the world. The festival will be held at Taft High School in Lincoln City. Come prepared to enjoy and participate in an incredible sight and sound experience.
