The Nelscott House: Nelscott House Antiques

3200 SE Highway 101 • Lincoln City, OR 97367
Phone: (541) 994-9761

The Nelscott House, originally Byron Pickering's studio and workshop, has always housed art and antiques. This intimate antique store was years in the making, starting with Will Johnson refinishing furniture at the age of 14. Through the years Will developed his skill and rented spaces in antique malls to sell his work. Soon he and his partner, Dean Fish, outgrew their mall space and began looking for a new location. In 2005 Nelda Johnson, an avid collector of Depression glass, partnered with her father Will Johnson and family friend Dean Fish to open up the Nelscott House.

Walking into the Nelscott House you feel like you are home. This 1500 square foot space is set up like a home filled with high quality antiques and housing historic pieces of American furniture. All furniture pieces are kept true to their original form. If a piece has a dent or scratch in it, they leave it alone, figuring it adds character to the item.

Along with furniture, the store has a collection of glassware and dinnerware including Depression-era glass, Asian pieces, Jadeite, Balda glassware and carved ruby glass. Local artwork is showcased the other half of the building. These pieces include wooden bowls, paintings, stonework and woodcarvings.

With the merchandise moving fast, there are always new items to see when visiting the Nelscott House. Whether you are an avid antique collector or are just looking for that special touch to add to a room, stop by the Nelscott House and you are sure to find something. As Nelda says, "Our items are not just for collectors, they're for decorators".
