On the Beach
You’re on the Oregon Coast so of course you want to explore the beach, and we’ve got over seven miles of it, more than any other coastal town.
It’s easy to get on the sand with many public access points to choose from as well as access from our many lodging properties.
There’s plenty to keep you busy on the beach. Fly a kite, enjoy the warmth of a bonfire or just watch the sun set. Discover tide pools, play in the sand, and hunt for treasures. You might even find a glass float!
On the Lake
Did you know we have a 685 acre lake in addition to miles of pristine beach? Stretching over three miles, Devils Lake is naturally shallow and is sheltered from the coastal winds. Devils Lake has earned the title of “World’s Fastest Lake” and is home to D River, the “World’s Shortest River.”
Devils Lake is in its own little world and provides an alternative on-the-water experience to our ocean. Bring your own watercraft or borrow one of ours, getting on the lake is easy. Enjoy a lakefront park or paddle your way around the lake, boat or even catch your own dinner.
On the Bay
On the southern border of Lincoln City, Siletz Bay is home to a variety of wildlife, recreation activities and opportunities to explore.
Crab with ease from the shore, or dig clams on the mudflats at low tide. Siletz Bay offers all sorts of fun. It’s a mecca for driftwood making it the ideal spot to build a bonfire, and the calmer waters might make a great place for the little ones to splash.
It’s great place for wildlife, where you’ll see seals, birds and even bald eagles.
Hiking & Open Spaces
The surrounding area offers great hiking opportunities and some of the most spectacular views along the Oregon Coast. Discover trails both in the city and just outside, which cater to a variety of skill levels and interests. You’ll find an adventure that suites you.
Open spaces comprise a full array of forests and wetlands that are essential to the local ecosystem health. Neighborhood parks to lakeside retreats, City parks offer a nice little getaway during your getaway, from neighborhood parks to lakeside retreats.
Sports & Recreation

Whether it’s fresh water or salt water, hit the water where you can paddle board, kayak and boat the day away.
Lincoln City is a world famous surfing destination and is one of the few places in the world to produce big waves. When ocean conditions are just right, international competitors arrive to ride the waves.
Lincoln City is home to a diverse range of wildlife. You’ll come across whales, seals, elk and bald eagles during your adventures here.
Gray whales can be spotted along the Oregon Coast year round. Sights are especially good during migrations in spring and winter. With a range of fliers, from majestic peregrine falcons and bald eagles to delicate murres, Lincoln City is definitely for the birds.
