This year we welcome Tracy Lee Stum. A professional street painter or madonnara, Tracy is a fine artist committed to creating spectacular modern masterpieces that transform, captivate and inspire. Best known for her 3D street paintings, also called anamorphic or pavement chalk art. Tracy comes to us from Ventura California and will set up on SW 51st to create a 12x12 foot one of a kind street mural.
You are invited to come down and watch Tracy’s magic happen!
Watching Tracy may motivate you to partake in your own street painting, don’t worry we have a place for everyone to color there own section of the street during "Chalk It Up on 51st Street!" For a minimum donation of only $5 you may purchase a 2 by 3 foot square of sidewalk in the Historic Taft District. With 50 squares open to the public on a first come first served basis. All proceeds from "Chalk it up on 51st Street!" benifit Relay for Life Team Lincoln City.

Sky Lanterns

300 Sky Lanterns will be realeased on June 13th, at sundown. Sky Lanterns
are airborne paper lanterns constructed from oiled rice paper on a bamboo frame containing a fuel cell composed of flamable soy oil. Sky lanterns are completly biodegradable. When lit, the flame heats the air inside the lantern causing the lantern to rise into the air approximently one mile. It is concidered good luck to release a sky lantern and many believe they are symbolic of problems and worries floating away. All sky lantern sales benefit the Children's Cancer Association. The lanterns will be lit and in memory or in honor of loved whos who have faught or are fighting cancer. A powerful demonstration of strenght and hope will illuminate the night sky and reflect upon the sea.

Plein Air Paint Out and Quick Draw Contest

June 13th, the Lincoln City Visitor and Convention Bureau invites all Plein Air Painters to set up across the beaches of Taft and participate in the 4th annual "Quick Draw" Contest. Painters are given 2 hours to transform a blank canves into a work of art that will be judged by the Art Sea Street Fair Antendies. "Quick Draw" runs noon-2:00pm. Registration starts at 11:00am on location, or you can download the Quick Draw Registration Form online.

Interacvive Tessellation Exhibit

Jump on in and figure it out! That's the idea behind this puzzle. The pieces fit together in ALL directions, giving you the chance to try them, move them, spin them, and visualize how they "tessellate". All 250 puzzle pieces are colorable and this exhibit is free to all who come.

Young at Art Kids Castle Corner!

Help us build a recycled masterpiece! Children ages 1-100 are invited to construct and paint a box-castle by the sea. All supplies will be provided for this free event. Donations are greatly appreciated and will support Relay for Life Team Lincoln City.
